Our Mission at OCP
Our Children’s Place is committed to providing families with high-quality, affordable childcare that nurtures the whole child. As part of a non-profit organization, we offer a safe, secure, and loving environment where children from six weeks to twelve years old can grow, learn, and thrive.
Our fully certified staff and thoughtfully designed programs—including Infant and Toddler Learning, universal pre-K, and School-Age Care—support each child’s development through engaging experiences, compassionate guidance, and a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Children SHine at OCP
Children shine by being exactly who they are—curious explorers, joyful learners, and growing individuals full of promise. We nurture their natural gifts through playful discovery, meaningful relationships, and celebration of every milestone, big or small.
Here, every child is seen, heard, and uplifted. With compassionate guidance and a safe, inspiring environment, we help them build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Staying Connected with Procare
At Our Children’s Place, we use Procare, a secure family engagement app, to keep you informed and involved in your child’s day. Through Procare, families receive real-time updates, including check-in/out times, daily activities, meals, and important reminders.
It’s our way of ensuring you never miss a moment—from milestones to messages. Procare also allows for two-way communication, so you can easily reach out to staff, share notes, and stay connected to your child’s learning and care.
At OCP, we believe strong partnerships with families begin with clear, consistent communication, and Procare helps us achieve that every day.
Teachers Shine at ocp
Our Teachers: The Heart of OCP
At Our Children’s Place, our teachers are more than educators—they’re nurturers, guides, and champions of every child’s growth. We follow New York State OCFS guidelines to ensure every staff member is recruited with the proper credentials, experience, and heart for early childhood education.
Once they join our team, we focus on retention through respect: offering meaningful benefits, ongoing support, and a workplace culture built on collaboration, care, and connection. Our staff knows they’re valued—and that sense of belonging shines through in every classroom.
Together, we create a place where children thrive and teachers feel proud to grow.

Our Communities SHine for OCP
Community Magic That Helps OCP Shine
At Our Children’s Place, we’re surrounded by communities that show up with heart. From Clifton Springs to Phelps and Canandaigua, our neighbors help us shine brighter through seasonal events, shared resources, and joyful traditions.
We proudly participate in beloved celebrations like the Fourth of July parades, Festival of Lights, Illuminate Light Parade, and Fall Into Canandaigua—where our children wave, dance, and feel the joy of belonging. Local libraries welcome us for excursions that spark imagination, and generous partners support us with fundraising efforts, donations, and volunteer time.
These moments aren’t just fun—they’re foundational. They connect our children to their community, show families they’re supported, and remind our staff that they’re part of something bigger.
Together, we make OCP a place where compassion, creativity, and connection truly shine.
